Elroy Nash was born to Hazel Burt and Elrogers Nash on Jaunary 15, 1935 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Elroy accepted Christ into his life at an early age and recently rededicated his life to Christ under the guidance of Pastor Leroy Walker, while on his sick bed.
He was a graduate of Phillips High School and later attended trade school in Chicago, Illinois. He was employed in the maintenance department for Cook County Board of Education before his retirement. Elroy was married to Maxine Burton, and together, they recently moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma.
In his 82nd year with us, Elroy Nash made his transition from "Earth to Everlasting" on Saturday afternoon, August 19, 2017 from the St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and other relatives.
Mr. Nash leaves to lament his passing; his loving wife, Maxine B. Nash, of the home in Muskogee; his two children, Tracy Darnell and Carla Lashaun Nash; his step-son, Derek L. Burton, Sr. [ Roberta ]; six grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; along with a caravan of other relatives.
The Service of Memory for Mr. Nash will commence on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:30AM in the most Holy sanctuary of the Rayfield Baptist Church. The Pastor, Reverend Leroy Walker, Sr., will Preside. Interment will follow at The National Cemetery in Fort Gibson.
You may visit Mr. Nash, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the funeral home in Muskogee on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM and on Monday beginning at 10:30 AM at the Church. Viewing will be prior to the service only.
