Mr. Emanuel Clark, in his 94th year, joined his dear wife, Vernice in Heaven on Saturday morning, July 5, 2008 from his home west of Beggs, in the Tolon Community.

Mr. Clark was born in Nuyaka, Oklahoma, on October 20, 1913, the son of Walter N. and Gracie [Thomas] Clark. He attended Rosenwald School near Henryetta, Oklahoma and was a faithful member of Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church. He served the Lord diligently as Chairman of the Deacon Board, service devoted as over 62 years as a Deacon.

He provided for his family through his employment at American St. Gobain Glass Company and also taking care of the family farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons and a sister.

The farewell tribute to Mr. Clark will be held at his church, the Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church, on the corner of Dentonville Road and Howard Road, west of Beggs, Oklahoma in the Tolon Community on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. His Pastor, Reverend Raymond Tucker will officiate and Reverend David Burks, Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Okmulgee, Eulogist.

The Christian Committal will follow in the Tuskegee Cemetery at Edna, Oklahoma. His last ride will travel by the homeplace and the Clark farm on Howard Road.
