Obituary

On March 21, 1930, a beautiful, baby girl was born to Nellie Johnson in Idabel, Oklahoma. She was named Ernestine K. Johnson.

She moved from Idabel, Oklahoma after school to Oklahoma City, where she met McKinley Craft. Love arrived, and in 1972, they were marred there in Oklahoma City. After 10 years, they moved to Denver, Colorado and remained there close to 10 years before moving to Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Ernestine was the Church Clerk at Evangelistic Baptist church for 10 years. She also was the first lady at Little Rose Baptist Church, where McKinley Craft Pastored. Ernestine moved her membership, following her husband, Elder McKinley Craft to Blood Bought Church of God in Christ, where she remained a devoted member, serving the Lord until her death.

She worked to help her husband provide for the family at University Hospital, in Oklahoma City as a scrub thechnician and as a counselor at Avery Day Care Center. She loved flowers, gardening, garage sales and animals. She enjoyed Gospel Music that was sent to her by her niece, Earnestine BAcy.

On Good Friday, April 4, 2015, Ernestine Craft " closed her eyes on this side, but woke up in Glory!" She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Elmo Crutchfield.
