On June 06, 1931 Walter and Evelene DeJear were blessed with their seventh child in Beggs, Oklahoma. They named him Ervin Paul DeJear. After graduating from Wheatley High School, he was drafted into the United States Army where he served for two years and obtained corporal rank. After an honorable discharge, Mr. DeJear married Hazel Marie Scott and they were blessed with five children.
For 32 years he worked hard in construction to support his family and took pride in his roles as a husband and father. He was a faithful member of Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and had a huge impact on their lives. Sunday dinners at his oldest daughter Sharon's house was one of his all-time favorite past times, with his favorite comfort foods on the menu. He often spent cheerful afternoons at Wal-Mart just chatting and laughing with friends. He was well loved by so many and a light to his entire family.
