The Heavens opened on November 4, 1939, and God sent the one and only, most amazing, beautiful baby girl to William and Mable Grant. They named her Espanola Ruth.
Espanola, affectionately called "Nolie," was raised in Haskell, OK, and she attended Booker T. Washington School. She was loved by all and has always been a people person. She never met a stranger. It was always "I love you" and "see you later;" never did we say "good bye."
Nolie married Manuel Alexander, and to this union four beautiful children, Theresa, Lycleda (Kee Kee), Sherl, and Manuel (BoJack), were born. Years later, she met and was married to Sie Love where three more beautiful children were born, Eric, Stephanie, and Hazel. Nolie knew the love of God, and she expressed the love of God daily. She and her daughter, Theresa, were both baptized at Fountain Baptist Church, Muskogee, OK, years ago.
She shared her unconditional love with her family, her entire community of friends, all of her health team, and yes, even with her favorite store and restaurant employees. Nolie cooked the best dressing, greens, brown beans, and of course, her famous Mexican cornbread. The house was always full of laughter, love, good food, and fun, and no one could tell a joke or story better than Nolie. She adored her family and her beloved pets Dash and Kendall. Nolie raised a tribe...all of us, from siblings, children, grandchildren, to great grandchildren. All of the kids loved being around Mama Nolie. They always had a good hug and often came home with gifts or took her out to one of her favorite restaurants, Golden Corral or China King. Espanola, you will be forever loved, and we are forever grateful to God for allowing you to be with us for eighty-two incredible years.
Mrs. Espanola Ruth Love, in her 82nd season of life, dozed into everlasting peace on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her family by her side.
