Ms. Esther A. Horey, in her 59th season, surrendered her soul to Jesus early Thursday morning, September 28, 2006 from her home in Tulsa with her devoted children by her side.
On January 12, 1947 a beautiful baby girl was born in Tulsa Oklahoma to Flossie and William Horey. They decided to name her Esther Ann Horey. Esther attended Dunbar Elementary School, going on to Carver Middle
school, and finally Booker T. Washington high school, were she graduated with the class of 1964.
Esther went on to futher her education attending Votec Technology School earning a certificate in machine shop. After gaining her certificate, she landed a job with McDonnell Douglas, were she began her 16 year career before being laid off. After the lay-off Esther decided to go back to school, where she attended Tulsa Technology School, earning a CNA certificate. With that certificate, she worked for Girlings home health for 2 years. After leaving Girlings, Esther started a new career with David L Moss correctional center, where she worked for 7 yrs, going on to work for Tulsa Job Corp until God called her home.
Esther was a good friend, a good sister and most of all a very good mother; she would open her heart and doors to anyone in need. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending quality time with her family, and friends. Esther didn't really have a church home,however, she did attend Christ Gospel from time to time.
Preceding her in death; her mother Flossie Mae Horey, her dad William H.Horey Sr, 1 brother, William H.Horey Jr., 2 sisters, Viola Spencer-Horey, Gorgia Ann Horey; 2 step sisters, Opal Studimare,
Pearalee Ryder, and 2 grand daughters, Quanisha Brackeen, and Amaris Brackeen.
Esther leaves to cherish her memories 1 sister Mary Ann Horey, 1 brother Samuel L Horey Sr. 1 sister-in-law, Gloria Horey.

Service of Remembrance will be held in the All Faiths Chapel on Friday, October 6, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
