Esther Mae Jones brought joy to John and Ruby Jones, Sr., on May 27, 1954 in Mounds, Oklahoma.  Esther was the sixth of eleven children and was the first daughter born into the family.

She grew up in the Mounds and Beggs, Oklahoma areas and attended Beggs Public Schools.  She loved life and greeted everyone with a big smile.  Esther joined church at an early age, where she loved being part of the mission department.  When asked to do anything, she never complained and she did it with a smile.

Early Tuesday morning, at 2:56 A.M., October 9, 2019, Esther answered Jesus call to come home.  With her home-going, she left behind the memory of her sweet smile and loving ways to her sisters, Viola [Gary] Hill, Arbedella Jones and Inola Jones, all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma;  her brothers, Herman Jones, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Carl and Theodore [Sherice] Jones, of the home in Beggs, Oklahoma;  along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Service of Memory for Ms. Jones will be on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church-South, Beggs, Oklahoma.  Reverend Gregory Lewis is the Senior Pastor and Minister Princella Combs, Eulogist.  Burial will follow in the Beggs Cemetery.

You may visit Esther, as she slumbers in sweet repose on Thursday from 1 PM until 6 PM at the funeral home in Okmulgee.
