Services for Mr. Eugene Grant, Jr. will be Saturday February 27, 2016 at 10AM at North Peoria Church of Christ in Tulsa.
Friends may visit Mr. Grant on Friday from 1PM until 7PM in Tulsa.
OBITUARY
Eugene Grant Jr. was born on January 1, 1936 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Eugene Grant Sr. and Ethel (Mitchell) Grant. He graduated from St. Monica Catholic School in 1953.
Eugene joined the Air Force on 21 September 1954 at the tender age of 18. Airman First Class Grant promotable received an honorary discharge from the Air Force on 20 December 1958 at Lincoln Air Force Base, Nebraska. He retired from St. Francis Hospital after thirty-five years of service. He was a member of Virgin Street Church of Christ in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was baptized at the age of 28. Fishing was his favorite hobby.
Eugene "Husky" Grant Jr. passed away Saturday morning, February 20, 2016 at the Clarehouse Hospice Facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 80.
Eugene's mother and father preceded him in death as well as, his only brother Earnest Grant, his sisters, Clarice Henderson, Leasther Matthews and Evelyn Reagan.
Eugene leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Bernice Grant, eight daughters: Orlene Grant-Chaney (Okla. City, Ok.), Tina (Billy) Ridge (Tulsa, Ok.), Paulette Bradford (Tulsa, Ok.), Alma (David) Johnson (Tulsa, Ok.), Perma (Vincent) James (Glenpool, Ok.), Juliette Harris (Tulsa, Ok.), Betty Harris (Nashville, Ar.), and Josephine Harris (Bartlesville, Ok.) and three sons: Roderick (Lashun) Grant Sr. (Glenpool, Ok.), Michael (Marrissia) Williams (Phoenix, Az.) and Tyree (Kathy) Harris (Tulsa, Ok.); One sister: Barbara Franklin (Tulsa, Ok.), thirty-three(33) grandchildren; seventy-three(73) great grandchildren, twenty-four (24) great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives.
