Obituary

On August 25, 1945 in Detroit Michigan, a baby boy was born to Woodrow and Lola (Jackson) Nash. They named him Eugene Albert.

The family relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma where Eugene attended Tulsa Public Schools. He joined the military in 1963. After the military he completed college with an auto mechanics degree. He was also a furniture assembler.

At an early age, Eugene was baptized at the First Baptist Church in North Tulsa, Oklahoma. As an adult, he joined and was again baptized at the First Baptist Church-South in Beggs Oklahoma under the pastorship of Rev. Dr. Maurice M. Williams where he was a valued member and attended until the Lord called him home on December 26, 2010. He also attended a Men's Monday Night Meeting led by Rodgrick Thompson. Eugene was a member of the first RN class at First Baptist Church-South led by Minister Jennifer Hairston and Minister Princella Combs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Johnny Higgins and Freddie Nash.

Those remaining to cherish the memories of Eugene are his sons: Alonzo Booker, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Eugene Albert Nash, Jr. Oklahoma, Oklahoma. Brothers: Hewlett (Lois) Nash, Beggs, Oklahoma, Roosevelt (Deloris) Nash, Manhattan, Kansas, Leonard Nash, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Ricky Nash. Sister: Earnestine Irvin Rowe, Kansas City, Missouri. And a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Service of memory for Mr. Nash will be on Saturday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Beggs Assembly of God. Dr. Maurice Williams, Pastor of First Baptist Church-South in Beggs, will officiate. Burial will follow in Tuskegee Cemetery.

You may visit Mr. Nash, as he slumbers at the funeral home in Okmulgee on Friday, from 10 AM until 6 PM.
