Obituary

Eunice R. Littlejohn was born to Mable (Shoulders) and Earl Brown on March 27, 1940 in Okmulgee, OK. Eunice was the oldest of 10 children. She and her parents, along with two brothers and eight sisters, resided in Okmulgee, OK. Eunice attended Dunbar High School, Okmulgee, OK and graduated in 1958 graduate in the top five percent of her class., she attended Dragon/LSI Business School in Oklahoma City, OK. and El Reno Junior college studying Sociology. At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized. Eunice began her career as a Federal Employee with Federal Correction Institution in El, Reno, OK and later went on to work for the Federal Bankruptcy Court for twenty-eight years before retiring in 1996.
Throughout her life Eunice was an enthusiastic participant in the church. Eunice served as church clerk for New Providence Baptist and worked with the youth during her membership, and she was known for her accuracy. She was a giver and always ready to assist in many church activities. Eunice was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Oklahoma City, until her health failed. Eunice enjoyed long fishing trips with her one son Dennis. Together, her and Dennis enjoyed going to church and discussing the word of God, working with youth members and reading.
Eunice dearly loved her sister, brothers, nieces and nephews. Eunice had a special bond with her nephew Chris and nieces Deanna and Latanya. She was their second mother. She enjoyed watching them grow from childhood into adulthood; she encouraged and supported them throughout her life. She enjoyed taking them to church, attending school activities, graduations, weddings and the rides to Okmulgee. If Chris, Deanna and Latanya had something going on, Eunice was there to cheer them on. Anzeline, Bryce and Jeremiah loved their Grand T. Anzeline would be so excited about being able to visit their Grant T.
Eunice is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mable Brown, her son, Dennis Littlejohn, four sisters: Joy Linn Brown, Berna J. Washington, Ruth E. Williams and Darlene Scott. She leaves to witness her home going: two brothers: Edward R, Brown of Oklahoma City, OK and David E. Brown, Oklahoma City, OK, two sisters: Delois Mitchell of Louisville, KY, Carolyn Wilson of Bixby, OK and Anita Bagby of Okmulgee, OK., and a host of nieces, grand-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-law, friends and acquaintances who she dearly loved. She was a believer and faithful follower of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. A devoted mother, attentive aunt; and a caring and kind inspiration to everyone she encouraged. She will be solely missed.

Her services will be Saturday April 20, 2013 at 2:30 inside our Chapel of Peace in Okmulgee. Friends may visit Ms. Littlejohn as she rests on Friday from 10AM until 6PM in Okmulgee.
