Clarksville, Oklahoma is where Thomas and Gladys [Simmons] Turner, Sr., welcomed a beautiful new daughter into this world on November 1, 1957. She was named Florence Turner, but all who knew her called her "Marie." She had two brothers and three sisters in the family.



Marie grew up in the area and attended Porter Public Schools, where she graduated from Porter High School with the Class of 1977. She served as a librarian for three years and later attained her certification in health care. She worked for over 25 years as a home health care provider. Marie loved to take care of the elderly and spending time with her family.



In her 56th Season of Life, Florence Marie Turner left this life for a life eternal on Monday, February 17, 2014 from her home in Muskogee. She joins her parents and two sisters in Paradise.



She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband of 22 years; her son Gregory Samuel and wife; two brothers, a sister, her grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.



The Final Hour with "Marie" will commence on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the most Holy sanctuary of the Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Vanzelen G. Brown, Sr., Pastor, will Preside.

Burial will follow in the Clarksville Cemetery in Muskogee.

You may visit Marie as she slumbers in sweet repose on Friday from 12 Noon until 6 PM.
