Florence Louise was born on February 9, 1920 from the union of Babe and Rose Chandler.

She grew up and lived most of her life in Muskogee, Oklahoma. After reaching adulthood, she married Cornelius Wells and moved to California. Later in life, she moved back to Muskogee to be with her family.

She worked as a Nurse Aid at Muskogee General Hospital before her retirement.

Although she was not blessed with children of her own, she had a host of nephews and nieces whom she lovingly helped raise. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her devotion to her family.

After "four score and five years," Florence Louise Wells left this life for a life eternal from Hillcrest Specialty Hospital in Tulsa. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Lewis T. Chandler and Horace Chandler.

She leaves to celebrate her home going; great-nephews, Danny L. Bates and Jimmy R. Boulware; along with other relatives and life-long friends.

The final hour for Mrs. Wells will be on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Remembrance at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., in Muskogee. Reverend B. W. Noble, Pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church will Preside. The Christian committal will be on Monday, February 6, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson.
