Mrs. Florene Jamerson, after 58 seasons, dozed into eternity on Thursday morning, August 17, 2006 from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The final tribute will be on Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in Praise Center Family Church, 608 East Apache. Pastor Stephen Wiley, the gracious host Pastor and Pastor Stephen Rathod, Pastor of Covenant Family Church, Officiating.
On September 4, 1947, a beautiful baby girl was born to Leora Durant London [Wilson] and Henry London in Haskell, Oklahoma. They named her Floreen Rebecca. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Haskell.
Floreen united in holy matrimony to James A. Jamerson, Jr., on December 12, 1966 and this union was blessed with three children. She received salvation at an early age and later became a member and ordained minister of Faith Christian Fellowship [Covenant Family Church]. She served faithfully as a counselor and homemakers ministry department head for many years. She was a certified information specialist for Life Senior Services until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, thres brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
She leaves in God's care; three children, LaShuana, Brandy and Jeremy Jamerson, Carrollton, Texas; two step-children, James A. Jamerson, III and Kimberly Jamerson, Tulsa, Oklahoma; three adopted children, Cynthia & Willid Davis, Collinsville, Oklahoma, Washington & Connie Jones, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Ivan Schwartz, Michigan; five sisters, Henrietta & Joe Walker, Betty & Preston Landrum, Marzella Wilson, LaDonna & Wayne Moore and Paula Wilson, Tulsa, Oklahoma; twelve brothers, Ulyses Wilson, III, and Rodney Wilson, Haskell, Oklahoma, Kenneth Wilson, Wesley & Shonna Wilson, Larry & Donna Wilson, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Timothy & Bernita Wilson, Coweta, Oklahoma, Benjamin Wilson, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Paul Doyle, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Henry Ray London, California, Carl Wilson, Mitchell Wilson and Noble & Alfreta Wilson, Houston, Texas; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
