On August 23, 1928, in Independence, Kansas, a bundle of joy was delivered to Albert Leach Sr, and Della Mae Lowe. That bundle of joy was a bouncing baby named Floyd Richard. Mr. Leach attended St. Monica's and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army on September 1, 1950. His first marriage to Claudia Leach produced 7 loving children. After 37 years of labor, he retired from the Corps of Engineers as a Mobile Equipment Servicer for the United States Army. His parents and a brother, Albert, preceded him in death. Remaining to cherish his precious memories: his devoted wife, Patricia A. DeBose-Leach, Tulsa, OK., his children: Les Leach (Melvaline), Tulsa, OK., Yasmin Mitchell, Queens, NY. Yolanda King, Tulsa, OK Yasmin Mithcell, Queens, NY., Floyd Leach, Jr., Tulsa, OK., Matt Leach (Elvia), Kevin Leach (Ann), Overland KS., Michael Leach (Lesley), Omaha, NE., step-children: Valentina McDade (Linc), numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, close friends, players Mr. Leach coached for many years, fishing buddies, and co-workers.
Services will be Friday April 10, 2009 at 10AM at Church of the Gospel of Jesus Christ at 5801 E. Haskell Place in Tulsa off of Sheridan Rd. just north of Admiral. Visitation will be Thursday from 12PM to 7PM.
