On, April 2, 1922, Frances E. Haynes was born in Meeker, OK to the proud parents Frank and Eula Haynes. She was a beautiful baby girl and was the fourth of seven children, all of which preceded her in death.
Frances was educated in Tulsa Public Schools, graduating from Booker T. Washington, with the Class of 1940. She met and married Eddie Palmer in 1945. From this union which lasted 55 years, four children were born.
Frances was a homemaker, who dedicated her entire life to being a loving Wife and a phenomenal Mother and Grandmother. Family meant the world to her and never missed an opportunity to open her loving arms to her children, but also to her nieces and nephews. She was a "Mom" to many and it was always a joy to be in her presence. She was a happy person and people gravitated to her.
She prided herself in providing a nurturing home environment that revealed her flair for interior design. Her home was always immaculate and was a haven for family and friends. She was a consummate hostess and enjoyed entertaining in her beautiful garden. And if you were ever graced with the opportunity to taste her culinary delights, you know she could give "Emeril and Paula Deen" serious competition!
Her zest for life, living and loving should be an example to all of us.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children: Larry (Lynn) of Cebu City, Phillipines, Eddie Jr. (Susan) of Houston, TX, Floyd of Tulsa and Marilyn (Mike) of Edmond, OK.
Also missing her with cherished memories is one brother-in-law, Herschel (Joyce) Palmer of Tulsa, eleven Grandchildren and nine Great-Grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Frances E. Palmer, transitioned into her Eternal Rest Saturday night, January 22, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her services are set for Saturday January 29, 2011 at 11AM inside our All Faiths Chapel in Tulsa. Visitation will be Friday from 10AM to 7PM in Tulsa.
