Mr. Frank E. Mondaine, in his 72nd year, transitioned from Earth to Everlasting on Tuesday morning, December 22, 2015 from the Jack C. Montgomery Veterans Administration Medical Center in Muskogee.
Jessie James and Francis Oris (Coleman) Mondaine were blessed with the birth of a son. This son, the third of six children, was named Frank Earl "Cookie" Mondaine. Frank was born at home in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Frank left school at an early age to help care for his siblings. In an effort to earn more money, Frank joined the military, the United States Army. He was only seventeen at the time, even though the age requirement was eighteen. He actively served in the Army from 1962-1964, then he served in the Army Reserves until 1968.
Frank met and married Sonola Brown. To this union, his first son and her only child was born, (Leonard) Darnell Mondaine. They resided in Muskogee Oklahoma.
Their union was later dissolved. Frank returned to Missouri where he met his 2nd wife Janet Lorraine Lucas. He and Janet made their home in Muskogee, Oklahoma and raised their 3 children, Charmin, Danita, and Jermaine. Their union lasted 32 years; their friendship however lasted until his transition. Janet was by his side as he transitioned from earth to glory.
Frank had an awareness of God, but did not give his life to the Lord until later in life. Once he did he became a dutiful and passionate servant. Cookie, or Cook as he was affectionately known, loved to praise the Lord. He also loved his family and was extremely proud of all of his children, and grandchildren, who called him Pa-Pa.
This Servant of God, in his 71st year, transitioned from "Labor to Refreshment" on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. He was preceded by his Parents Jesse and Francis Mondaine, his siblings, Leo Boose, Rosemary Watson, Nathaniel Watson, and Barbara Jean Pam, and his first wife, Sonola Brown.
He leaves in God's care; his ex-wife and PIC, Janet L. Mondaine-Lucas, his children, Darnell (Katherine) Mondaine, Tulsa OK, Charmin (Anthony) Brown, Muskogee OK, Danita (Todd/Jay) Johnson, Gaithersburg MD, and Jermaine (Deonandrea) Mondaine Muskogee OK.
