IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank Parker,
Jr.
January 2, 1941 – March 25, 2024
Frank Parker, Jr., was born on January 2, 1941, to Surriller and Frank Parker, Sr. He was the second oldest of ten children. Frank left his earthly
slumber for his heavenly home on Thursday, March 25, 2024.
Greeting him at the Pearly Gates of Heaven are: his parents, Surriller and Frank Parker, Sr.; son, Dewight LuWayne Parker; sisters, Frankie Mae Jenkins and Betty Dawson; brothers, George Parker, Charles Parker, Joel Parker and Harry Parker; and mother-in-law, Mandie Richardson Tryon.
Frank, affectionately known as "Stub", was a loving husband, father, and friend. He was a strong, kind-hearted, infectious spirit who loved to talk. Frank attended Chilesville Elementary School and Boley High School. At the young age of sixteen, Frank left home to start his life journey. He moved from Boley, Oklahoma, to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and worked various jobs. After several years he returned to his hometown of Boley, Oklahoma, and made it his permanent home, although he continued to work in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
On December 18, 1962, he married the love of his life, Willie Mae Tryon. To this union, three children were born: Lyndell, Dewight, and Angela. Frank was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, and ride horses. He was a member of the Boley Round-Up Club for many years and enjoyed riding in the annual Boley Rodeo Memorial Day Parade. Frank enjoyed western movies and television shows. His favorite western television show was "Gunsmoke". It's safe to conclude that he had seen every episode. Frank loved antique cars and had a natural talent of rattling off the make and model of any antique car that he passed on the highway. Frank enjoyed listening to music especially Bobby Womack. He passed his love for music, antique cars, horses and fishing to his children and grandchildren. Frank loved his family and was adored by his grandchildren. His memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Willie Mae Parker of Boley, OK; devoted daughters, Anita Parker of OKC, OK, and Angela Parker of Midwest City, OK; admiring son, Lyndell Parker of Tulsa, OK; sisters, Ethel Summers and Carolyn Parker of Boley, OK, and Retha Mae (Drew) Griffin of Edmond, OK; sister-in-law, Clara Smith of Boley, OK; twelve grandchildren, Ebony Smith, Frank Parker, Marceia Parker, LaShontana Parker, Lyndell
Parker, Jr., twins Deon and Keon Parker, and Kimani Williams, Jordan Reynolds, Brittany Parker, Demonte Parker, and Jayden Parker; twelve great- grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
