On January 15, 1941 a beautiful baby boy was born to Hollis and Bessie Logan, Sr. They named their bouncing baby boy Franklin. This union produced 9 children in total. Known as "Sam" he found Christ at an early age. He attended elementary and middle school at New Hope, followed by his high school years at Manual Training School in Muskogee, Oklahoma where he met his lifelong partner Juyette Clark. The two were joined as one on May 12, 1961 in Wichita, Kansas. Sam and Juyette were blessed with three children: Towana, Franklin, Jr. and Vicki.
Sam utilized his knowledge of the struggles of life and preparation for them to empower younger individuals. He was known as a hard worker; loving his job as a foreman. Utility Contractors were fortunate to have Sam as an employee for 42 years and Becco for 15 retiring there in 2009. Sam spent his remaining years spending time and appreciating his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Sam began having problems with his heart in 2010. Tuesday night May 31, 2016, God decided it was time for Sam's heart to rest.
Sam was preceded in death by both parents, Hollis and Bessie, two brothers Roy Logan and Hollis Logan, II, four sisters: Essie Logan, Minerva "Pat" Brown (Henry), Ermagene "Mickey" Walker (Vernon), and Janetta Woodard. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 55 years Juyette, one son Franklin Logan, Jr. (Angela), two daughters: Towana Logan, Vicki Harris (Tyrone), and two grandchildren: DeMario Logan and Jakayla Logan, two siblings: Theodore Logan, Sr. (Rose), and Ollie Lawrence.
