Obituary

Mr. Freddie William Frye, age 71 and a resident of Muskogee, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 from his home in Muskogee.

Freddie was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on June 24, 1943. The son of Johnnie Frye Sr., and Olivia Foye Frye. Freddie attended school in Muskogee, OK and affectionately called "Pops" and "Cotton Candy."

Freddie enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends watching basketball, football and other sports. Freddie and Billy Pierce coached a men's basketball team called, "The Cavaliers."

Freddie was preceded in death by his father Johnnie Frye Sr., mother Olivia Frye; brother, Johnnie Frye, Jr., sisters, Dimpermae Frye and Cora Langston Foye.

Freddie worked various jobs: Taft State Hospital, Railroad, Coke Cola Pop Company as a Truck Driver. He also worked for Greenhill Cemetery, were he retired because of his eye sight.

Freddie leaves to cherish his memory; his sister, Cecelia Belton of Tulsa; his nieces, Shayla Belton of Iowa, Melva Underwood and Willie Mae Underwood of Muskogee. Special Nephew, Anthony Mayhue, special cousin, Clarence Youngblood and his wife of Houston, TX. Adopted family; a host of cousins and friends. Freddie will be dearly missed.

The Farewell Ceremony will commence on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Saint Mark Baptist Church. The Pastor, Reverend Rodger L. B. Cutler will Preside.

Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee.
