It all began in Muskogee, Oklahoma, when Jewell and Olida [Nunley] Hill celebrated the birth of a bouncing, baby boy on July 27, 1949. They named him Freddie Lee Hill, but was affectionately referred to as "Bug" by all who knew him.
Mr. Hill grew up and spent most of his life in Muskogee. After school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably from July 10, 1970 until his discharge on December 7, 1973.
Bug married his sweetheart, Renee Denise Clarke and they were married for 43 years. He was a loving father and grandfather and the very best there was to those who knew and loved him. Freddie loved to fish and was dubbed the best fisherman "ever!"
After 67 years with us, Freddie Lee Hill left this life for a life eternal on Friday evening, July 14, 2017 from his home in Muskogee. He was preceded in death by his father, Jewell Hill, his mother, Olida Hill, his brother, Raymond Hill, his sister, Girtha Chaplin, and his grandson, Antonio Clarke and Keenan Pettis.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory; his wife, Renee Denis Hill; his daughter, Leela; his son, Kenneth; a special granddaughter, Tekila Syrus; his brothers, Freeman, Lonnie [Diane], and Donald; his sister, Myrtle Crisp; his grandchildren, Kendrick [Brittany], Kendal, Georgia Mai and Kenneth, Jr.; seven great-grandchildren; a special brother-in-law, Paul Owens, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will share a private ceremony and scattering of his ashes at a later date.
