IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gary Wayne
Hill, Ii
August 6, 1987 – March 22, 2020
Gary Wayne Hill II. , of Edmond, Oklahoma
August 6, 1987 – March 22, 2020
On August 6, 1987, a baby boy was born to Gary Wayne Hill Sr., and Shelice Phillips Hill. To that union two children were born Princiss (Hill) Rockmore and their first-born and only son Gary Wayne Hill II.
Gary accepted Christ at an early age through the Church of the Living God under the leadership of the late Elder Oscar Higgs Sr. Okmulgee. Gary later joined Macedonia Baptist Church under the late Rev. C.J. Jeffrey and Pastor Judson Fields of Okmulgee where he served faithfully as a child and teenager. Gary with his wife and children later joined Life Church in Edmond, OK. Gary attended Okmulgee Public Schools and graduated with Honors as a proud Okmulgee Bulldog. While attending Okmulgee Public Schools, Gary excelled academically and was active on the basketball team.
After graduating from Okmulgee High School in 2005, Gary attended the University of Oklahoma (OU), he continued his college education at Oklahoma City Community College and the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO), graduating in 2009 with an Associates Degree in Science, emphasizing in Business and in 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. While attending college, Gary worked various jobs to help provide for his first-born son, who was born Malaki Xavier Hill on June 26, 2008. During these opportunities, it was discovered that Gary was his best when working with the public and in a customer service setting. Gary's work history includes positions and responsibilities as a lead, supervisor and manager. Gary's final place of employment was with Progressive Insurance as a claims adjustor where he excelled in his work and was very well received.
Gary grew up and was raised with his loving family in Okmulgee, Ok. Growing up, Gary was exceptionally smart. As a little boy, he most enjoyed video games but was gifted and talented at puzzling. Gary was a rule follower and was always proactive in his education and maintaining his educational goals. He was very patient and always willing to help those he knew, didn't know and loved. Gary was very close to his Grammy, who lived with him (and would have it know other way) the last year and a half until her recent transition to glory. Gary had a special relationship with his Step Father Byron Hamilton and his spiritual mentor Pastor Marcus Jeffrey. Gary took pride in being a loving and active parent to his children and worked very hard to provide for them.
In 2015, Gary met the love of his life, Priscilla Turner Hill, whom he married. This union brought two families together in love. Gary and Priscilla blended their love with sons Malaki and Nehemiah. Together their family enjoyed puzzles, board games, OU sports, Thunder games, playing video games and playing with Gary's dog and best friend, Cooper. Gary's greatest joy was being with his family and trying his hardest to recruit his nieces to OU.
On March 22, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer, Gary finished his race and the Lord said "Well Done, my good and faithful servant." For all those who knew and loved Gary, all would describe him as a very hard worker, patient and kind person. Gary was a dedicated husband, father, son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend that will be terribly missed. Throughout Gary's fight with cancer, he was the rock for his family. His faith and bravery never dwindled but only grew stronger.

(Phillips) Waller (Paw Paw & Grammy), paternal grandfather Donzell (Doc) Hill Sr., maternal great-grandparents Robert Phillips Sr. (Skeet) and Bernice McGlauthing (Tang), paternal great-grandparents James (Boots) and Helen Richardson.
