Obituary

Ms. Geneva Robbins, in her 77th year, received her rest on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from McKinney, Texas.

On June 8th, 1947, in Choska  Bottoms, Oklahoma, Pleasant Draper, Sr.,  and Myrtle Draper

Welcomed their youngest daughter, Geneva. She accepted Christ at an early age and grew up

with her eight siblings. Geneva graduated with honors from Booker T. Washington High School

in 1964, where she was named "Miss Music."

After graduating, Geneva relocated to Wichita, Kansas, to be closer to her beloved brothers and

sister. During her time in Wichita, she gave birth to her adorable twin daughters. Years later, she

moved back to Oklahoma, where she demonstrated an impeccable work ethic by owning and

operating her own janitorial service in Muskogee.

In Oklahoma, she met and married the love of her life, Hayes Robbins Jr., and they enjoyed 25

years of wonderful bliss together. Geneva was deeply committed to her faith, serving the Lord

as a deaconess and singing in the choir at St. John Baptist Church of Gibson Station for many

years.

Geneva was a phenomenal woman with an award-winning smile and a pillar in her community who was

loved by many. She cherished her family and spending time with them was her favorite hobby.

The door of her home was always open to her much-loved nieces and nephews. She enjoyed

hosting the annual "Memorial Day" family gathering, as well as cooking, shopping, watching

soap operas, and westerns. Above all, she adored spending time with her grandsons and great-

granddaughters.

In recent years, Geneva faced several health challenges but endured them with resilience.  Ms. Geneva Robbins, in her 77th year, received her

rest on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from McKinney, Texas..   She was preceded in death by her parents; Pleasant

Draper, Sr., and Myrtle; her husband Hayes Robbins Jr; siblings Ethel Mae, Pleasant Jr.

(Dorothy), Rufus Sr, (Louella), John Sr, (Carrie), Robert, James (Rowcita), Stanley & Carlene;

she leaves behind: twin daughters Rhonda (Abdulfatai) Abdulsalam of McKinney, TX and Wanda

Bryant of The Colony, TX; Grandchildren Louis Tre' Chatman III (Ashley) of McKinney, TX,

Carrington Chatman of McKinney TX: Step Grandchildren; Mafy & King Abdulsalam of Dallas

TX; Great Granddaughters; Arria & Lourin Chatman of McKinney, TX. Sister-in-Law; Rose &

Thelma Draper, Brother-in-Law; Sherman West. Special Friend, Johnny Fowler;  along with a host

of other beloved nieces, nephews, close cousins and friends.

The Sacred Farewell for Ms. Geneva Robbins, will commence on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at One Hour past Noon in the most holy sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Haskell.  Reverend Walter Brown, Jr., Pastor of Pilgrim's Faith Ministries in Muskogee, will Preside.

The Christian Committal will follow the ceremony in the Haskell Cemetery, Haskell, Oklahoma.

You may visit Ms. Robbins, as she slumbers in sweet repose at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Muskogee on Friday, between the hours of 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
