Obituary

On January 6, 1931, a beautiful daughter was born from the union of
Clarence Lamar and Beaulah Mae Holiday. The precious daughter was
given the name of Geneva Lamar. The only child conceived in this
union, she was born and raised in Checotah, Oklahoma and was baptized
at the Eastside First Baptist Church.

She served the Lord faithfully as an Usher, a Choir Member and was a
member of the Gardina Art Club. She served in any capacity and worked
diligently for the Lord.

Geneva was easy to be around and gave information freely. She always
spoke her mind and lovingly told the truth. In her early years, she
worked for Fountainhead Lodge, as a Meter Maid, for the Checotah Police
Department and was a Clerk for the Checotah Water Department as well as
for Walmart in Checotah.

In addition to her Church service, she enjoyed several hobbies,
including canning, crocheting, cooking and raising her five girls. She
was married to Jacob Toliver and from their union, four daughters were
born; Ann Toliver, Dallas, Texas, Barbara Toliver, Muskogee,
Oklahoma, Marilyn Kaye Toliver, Las Vegas, Nevada and Cynthia Toliver,
Muskogee, Oklahoma. This marriage was later dissolved.

She later married Ranzel Warrior, and from this union, a daughter,
Patty Andrea Warrior and a son, Clarence Lamar, Jr. was born.

After 82 years with us, Geneva Warrior was "beckoned by the Master" on
Saturday, August 3, 2013 from her home in Muskogee. She was preceded
in death by her parents, her husband and a grandson.

She also leaves behind to cherish her memory; eight grandchildren,
Laron Pearson, Renee Pearson, Ranzell and Chauncey Warrior, Ebony
Butler, Danika Bly and Harold and Matthew Love; eleven
great-grandchildren; along with a caravan of nieces, nephews, cousins
and many, dear friends.

The Hour of Remembrance will be shared on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the St. Mark Baptist Church. Reverend Rodger Cutler, Pastor, will preside. Burial will follow in the Paradise Cemetery at Checotah, Oklahoma.

You may visit Ms. Warrior on Thursday from 12 Noon until 6 PM.
