"Reflections"

On July 6, 1927, a bundle of joy was delivered to Willie James Blackmon, Sr., and Christina Marks in Little Rock, Arkansas. Their joy was a new baby girl. They named her Genora Virginia. She was baptized at an early age at Four Mile Baptist Church and later joined New Faith Baptist Church of Muskogee. She labored for Swift's, Western Hills Lodge, Northeastern State University, Talking Leaves Training Center, Slicks BBQ, and then she retired from Norwood School in 1996. Her hobbies include sewing, reading, cooking, fishing, gardening, playing cards, dominoes, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Her parents, husband, four children, and four siblings preceded her in death. Remaining to cherish a lifetime of memories: her children: Rosemary Marshall of the home, Donna Jackson (Dennis), Oklahoma City, OK., Virginia Vann, Linda Vall, Fort Gibson, OK., Michael Ray Vann, Tahlequah, Leonard Ray Vann, Muskogee, OK., Alan Vann, Fort Gibson, OK., siblings: Geneva Smith, Muskogee, OK., Velesten Payne, Denver, CO., Betty Dawson (Terry), Georgia Nero (Ernest), Fort Gibson, OK., Isiah Blackmon, Tulsa, OK., Booker Blackmon, Muskogee, OK., Herman Blackmon (Joyce) Muskogee, OK., 35 grandchildren, a host of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and very special family friends, Hank Lee, Emma Mitchell, and Kay Wilkinson.
