Mr. George Joseph Dalcour, Jr., in his 79th season, passed from this life on Saturday, March 5, 2011 with his loving family at his side.
George was born in Okmulgee on November 29, 1931, the son of George and Ezola [Thomas] Dalcour. He attended school in Grayson, Oklahoma, and served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He also worked for Ball Brothers Glass for 34 years before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Floyd, Clyde and E. J. Dalcour and a sister, Leonis Norman.
Mr. Dalcour leaves to lament his death; his wife of 55 years, Mildred [Cazenave] Dalcour,; a son, Michael Dalcour; 3 daughters, Sharon [Leonard] Lewis, Rhonda Dalcour and Rita Dalcour; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Dalcour; a sister, Leola Dalcour; his brother, Clarence [Lorna] Dalcour; 3 grandchildren, Mikey and Kandace Dalcour, and Crystal Thompson; 3 great-grandchildren, Savanna, Brick and Cannon; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rudolph and Cleo Gouthier; a very dear Aunt, Lou Durousseau; along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the Uganda Martyr's Catholic Church. Father Benjamin Vima will be the Celebrant. The Christian Committal will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
The Scripture service will be on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., with Father Khiet Nguynen.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
