Obituary
Mr. Gerald Samuel Hale Shaw, age 16 and a resident of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
On June 20, 2000 Michelle Dawn Devorak Starkey and Deon Samuel Shaw gave life to a beautiful baby boy, who they named Gerald Samuel Hale Shaw. He was such a wonderful baby.
Gerald grew into the handsome young man he was. He was such a strong, loving, young man and friend to many. Even through everything that was thrown his way, he over came it. Gerald spent a lot of his free time camping with family and friends. He loved playing ball. He also was known for snagging a mean spoonbill. He could out fish anyone you know. He enjoyed skateboarding at the skate park with his boys.
Those who were blessed to have known Gerald knew of his creative mind., and so much knowledge on everything you could think of; cars, music, fishing, working with electronics, and that he was always a loyal and respectful friend to everyone. He loved to sing and dance all the time. He also loved to clown on everybody too.
Gerald loved all children. He was a family man, and a huge part of his family's lives. When it came to everything; Rough housing with his nieces and nephews, or just throwing the ball around. He was his family's everything.
Gerald was preceded in death by his mother, Michelle Dawn Devorak Stark, his great-grandmother, Evelyn Abernathy, his baby brother, Gabriel Shaw and his grandfather, Emery Shaw and his daughter, Sabrie Michelle Dawn, that he can now hold on his arms and be the wonderful father we knew he would be. Fly high Baby Boy!
Survived by his father Deon Shaw, his 3 sisters; Marissa Frazier, Samantha Shaw, and Sameera Shaw. His 2 brothers; Sam Shaw and Zachary Frazier; His grandmothers, Roxanne Kirklin and Sherry Brake; his grandfathers, Frank Devorak and Terry Brake; His 4 nephews; Levi Shaw, Stephan Sampson, Shawn Sampson, and Sage Sampson. Also by his 3 nieces; Shayleigh, Gracelynn Hall, and Alexis; and by so many other relatives, cousins and close friends.
