Gerald Eugene Johnson "Jerry" was born December 22, 1968, in Chicago.

He was the third born son of Phyllis and Charles Johnson, Sr. Both parents have preceded him in death.

Gerald E. Johnson "Jerry" attended Scanlan Elementary School and Carver High School, where he graduated from.

Gerald "Jerry" was a loving man. He was a protector who had a heart of gold, he was fun, but most of all, he accepted Christ at a early age.

"Jerry" was called home to take his heavenly rest on June 10, 2022.

Johnson "Jerry" leaves to cherish his memories: five sons, Trevon Brocks, Gerald Johnson, Jr., Terry Johnson, Jerry Johnson, and Gerald Eugene Johnson, Jr.; three brothers, Charles Johnson, Jr., Anthony Johnson, and Romel Brocks; four sisters, Angela Johnson, Latia Brocks, Teawanna Brocks, and Sharmeen Brocks; stepmother, Charlene Brocks; fiance, Shonna Brown; four stepdaughters, Niesha Evans, Ariel Brown, Denise Brown, and Stephanie Brown. one stepson, Robert Brown; daughter, Destiny Portugal. best friends, as close as siblings, Ismeal King and Shanterrial Adams; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
