Mr. Gerald Motte, after 58 years, left suddenly from labor to refreshment on Thursday, January 4, 2007 in Okmulgee.
A lifelong resident of Okmulgee, Gerald was born on July 18, 1948, the son of John and Maurine [Cazenave] Motte, Sr. He attended school in Okmulgee and was of the Catholic Faith.
Better known as "Redd" to family and friends, Gerald was a member of the Black Diamonds Motorcycle Club and loved to fish and barbeque.
He worked of Oklahoma State University, Okmulgee Campus for over 25 years and will be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind; his children, Tanithia Carter, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Maureen Motte, Stillwater, Oklahoma; his step-daughter, Tamisha Gray, Las Vegas, Nevada; his brothers, Harold & Deborah Motte, John & Glenda Motte and Ronnie & Francine Motte, all of Okmulgee; his sister, Stephanie & Tony Mims, Tulsa, Oklahoma; one grandchild, Kamry Brown, Stillwater, Oklahoma; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, Jaunary 13, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in the Uganda Martyr's Catholic Church. Father Benjamin Vima will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
