On March 16, 1912, a bouncing baby boy was born to Willie and Cora Simmons Brown, the first of seven children. They named this bundle of joy Gleeton. Serving faithfully as a farmer throughout most of his 94 seasons, he understood seed time, and how to harvest. Mr. Brown truly invested his life in others and has gone to heaven to reap the eternal reward. Gleeton was a loyal Christian servant and member of Simmons Chapel Baptist Church…."Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter thou into the joy of The Lord…"

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Glattie, and sisters Rosa and Osaja Mae. Left to treasure his memory: Sisters Erma and Espanola (Roy), his brother and best friend Samuel, nieces LaVerna and Sonya, nephew Leon Jr. (Barbara), cousins, and friends.

Services for Mr. Brown are Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 1PM at Simmons Chapel Baptist Church in Haskell, OK. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, from 12 Noon to 6PM.
