Glen Allen Smith was born April 10, 1954 to Fred A. Smith and Rosie L. Smith. He was the 3rd of 9 children. He was preceded in death by his father Fred A. Smith.
Glen attended Dunbar and Hawthorne Elementary Schools, Monroe Junior High and he graduated from McLain High School in 1972. He then attended Southwestern Christian College and he sang in the college choir.
He was added to the body of Christ at North Peoria Church of Christ at an early age.
Glen had the most soft, mellow and beautiful voice that you ever heard and would make you melt when he sang. He enjoyed playing softball on North Peoria Championship team for several years.
Glen was Mr. Cool and quiet, and it took a while to make him angry, yes he was Mr. Cool! He was a master cake baker and he sure loved to eat, he loved to play croquet when the family got together for the holidays and he was 2nd master at Croquet next to Daddy.
Glen leaves to cherish in his memory: DeAngelo his son, his mother Rosie L. Smith, 4 brothers, Tony(Betty), Ronald(Vicki), Darryl(Valarie), Gregory, 4 sisters, Shirley Bryant, Maureen Smith, Tina Bills, and Janine(Wiley), 3 aunts and many, many nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.
Services will be Friday September 28, 2018 at 11AM at North Peoria Church of Christ in Tulsa.
Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens in Skiatook, Oklahoma.
Friends may visit Mr. Smith as he peacefully rests on Thursday from 1PM until 7PM in The Tulsa Chapel.
