Mrs. Gloria J. Embry, in her 89th year, dozed into eternity on Wednesday morning, December 9, 2020 from her home in Muskogee.

Gloria was bron on September 12, 1931, the daughter to Benjamin J and Sarah J. [Miller]] Kinchen. She accepted Christ at an early age. Gloria was educated in schools in Jacksonville, Florida, where she graduated from Minneapolis School of Anesthesia.

Gloria served her country honorably during active duty with the United States Air Force for 2 years. She retired from Jack C. Montgomery Medical Center, where she served as a Ward Nurse.

Mrs. Embry was a longtime member of the First Baptis Church of Summit, Oklahoma, joining under the Pastoralship of the late Reverend Clarence E. Woodfork, Jr. She served the Lord faithfully as the financial secretary, pianist of the male Choir and 1st Vice President of the Mission. She served faithfully until her health failed her under former Pastor, Reverend Clifford Beasley.

She leaves to lament her passing; George Cone [Annette], Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; a special sister in law, Carolyn Carmichael, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two nephews, John and Keith Cone; two nieces, Kameelah [Meea], Houston Texas and Sarah, Chicago, Illinois; a host of great-great- nieces and nephews, along with a host of many loving, faithful, caring friends and caregivers, including, Rosie Josey, Loretta Owens, Helen Ingram and Helen Mitchum, who made aging a great joy.

You may visit Mrs. Embry, as she slumbers in sweet repose at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 PM.

A graveside ceremony will be shared on Tuesday, High Noon, in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.  The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 A.M..  Friends are asked to assemble in the parking lot by 11:15 AM.
