Gloria Mable Gallimore

February 27, 1926 -   September 21, 2018

Gloria Mable Gallimore was born February 27, 1926 to Edward and Nannie Eaton in Waelder, Texas. After graduation from Waelder High School and Texas Woman's College in Denton, Texas she moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma where she married Willard Bertrand Gallimore.

She enriched the lives of many students during her substitute teaching career, and enjoyed pouring her heart into serving the mentally and physically handicapped at the OK School. She found sewing and making quilts rewarding and loved being able to share them with family and friends. She kept her mind sharp with crossword puzzles, word games and her favorite tv shows, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated, and Frances Harper Club.

She was a loyal and faithful member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved her church-family and looked forward to fellowshipping with them each week.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Nannie Eaton, her brother and sister, Edward Jr. and Marguerite, husband Willard Bertrand Gallimore, and daughter Margaret Louise Gallimore.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters; Andrea Luster—Oklahoma City, OK, Pat Brown (Richard)—Norman, OK, Beverly Jackson (David)—Okmulgee, OK, and one son Billy Gallimore (Shawn)—Sunnyvale, TX; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also remaining, a loving sister-in-law, Jo Eddie Gallimore and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 in the Okmulgee Chapel.

A Service of Memory is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28 ^th 2018, at First Baptist Church, 521 North Central, Okmulgee, OK 74447
