Mr. Gregory Oliver in his 66th Season transitioned to Eternal Rest on Tuesday July 19, 2022 in Tulsa.

Gregory Tyrone Oliver was born on September 23, 1955 in Muskogee, OK and entered into his final rest on July 19, 2022 in Tulsa, OK. He was a student of Muskogee County Public Schools, attending Dunbar Elementary School, Sadler Junior High School and Muskogee High School, where he graduated in 1973. He also attended Bishop College, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Marshall, TX and the University of Oklahoma, where he pledged the Zeta Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. While in high school and college, he was a member of the marching and stage bands, cultivating his artistic skill in the saxophone and piano as a true musical genius. His wife, Helen Carter Oliver, two grandparents, Alexander and Jessie Scott; father, Ralph Lewis Oliver; oldest brother, Michael Lewis Oliver, Sr.; and youngest brother, Timothy Blake Oliver preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Dixie Johnson of Tulsa, OK; three daughters, Natosha Cummings Price of Buffalo, NY; Felicia Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK; and Tomeka Jones of Tulsa, Ok; one son, Earenest (Melinda) Grayson Jr. of Tulsa, OK; ten grandchildren, Earenest Grayson III, Essence Grayson, Darnell Ellis, Anecia Ellis, Niah Price, Christopher Price, Alayah Jones, Micah Jones, Joshua Jones and Natalie Jones; and one great grandson, Kayden Ellis; siblings, Brenda Jefferson (Richard) and Donna Maselera of Tulsa, OK and Tonya Patterson (Samuel) of Memphis, TN; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The farewell ceremony for Gregory Tyrone Oliver will be held at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center, located at 6808 S 107th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74133 on Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The family would like to thank everyone who prayed, called and showed special acts of kindness during this time of bereavement.
