Behn
January 22, 1957 – October 16, 2019
Greta Denise Behn was born on the 22nd day of January in 1957 to Austion and Anna Dean Behn in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Greta was affectionately referred to as "Nicey" to all of those who knew and loved her. She confessed Christ as her savior at an early age, and was baptized by the late Reverend Morris Behn. Nicey was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Okmulgee, OK. She attended elementary school at Attucks in Okmulgee then in 1971, went to South Mountain High School in Phoenix, Arizona. She came back home and graduated from Okmulgee High School with the class of 1975. After graduation she studied at OSU Technical Branch and received her degree.
She genuinely loved and cared for others which inspired her to open a child care center. After retiring, she began working for BIOS where she cared for adult individuals until ultimately retiring once more. Nicey was a selfless person whose actions were not ever empty. Her faith and giving was real. She always had love for others and would give her last to anyone in need.
On March 25, 1974, she was blessed with a beautiful baby girl, who was the love of her life named Amica. She adored her daughter and cherished spending time with her and her grandchildren: M'Lyah, Kristan, and Alyna. Nicey shared a motherly bond with Karla Hutton and a special bond with L'Oreal Grant, Alexandria, Jaeland, and Jayden Jordan, who were her other grandchildren …. The grandchildren referred to her as "Ma-Ma."
The angels were given charge to carry Nicey to paradise on October 16, 2019 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents; Austion and Anna Behn; her sisters: Wanda (Bonnie) Hutton, Janie (Sista) Monteilh, Lorene Miner; her brothers: Morris Behn, Joseph Behn, Austion Behn Jr., Mark Behn Sr.
