It all began on October 6, 1950 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma when Halcie and Vernice Smith was blessed with a brand new baby boy. He was given the name Halcie Eugene Smith, II. He was the only child born to the union. Hal grew up in Okmulgee where he graduated from high school at the age of 16. He then attended college at Northeastern State University. There at Northeastern, he pledged and crossed into the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Professionally, he excelled in the automotive industry. At the time of his passing, he was the Senior Sales Manager at Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Tulsa.
In July ,1981 "Hal" met a beautiful young lady name Tangy Chaney. Hal and Tangy began a courtship that blossomed into holy matrimony on September 4, 1983. This Marriage was the foundation of 26 years of devotion and marital bliss. Hal and Tangy are the proud parents of three beautiful loving children; Tamara, Halcie III, and Crystal. Hal was a wonderful father to his children and a great inspiration, teaching them to aim for higher education, setting goals, and to respect their mother - whom he loved dearly. Most importantly, Hal taught them to never forget to put God first.
