On September 5, 1955, Harold Harrison Brown, Sr., was the 4th of 6 children born to Sedera and Raymond Brown, Sr., in Kansas City, Missouri.
Harold attended Moton High School in Taft, Oklahoma, where he played the trombone in the school band. He graduated with the Class of 1973. Immediately after graduation, he was hired by O. G. & E. where he worked for the next 18 years. He attended Connors State College and received a Technical Engineering Certification. Shortly after leaving O.G.& E., he became a home health care provider.
Harold enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominoes. He had a deep love for cars and collecting them. Mr. Brown was united in marriage to Shirley Roberts in Taft, Oklahoma. From this union, three children were born. This union was later dissolved.
On February 10, 2018, Harold H. Brown, Sr., after 62 years, surrendered his soul from his home in Taft, Oklahoma. His smile, laughter, sense of humor and personality will be greatly missed. We've lost a wonderful man who can never be replaced. Hearing his quotes of "I Got You" and "Whats up Partner" will always be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Glenoyd Brown and Raymond Brown, Jr., and other relatives to take him by the hand and walk him down Heaven's pathway.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Mildred Jones; his sons, Harold H. Brown, Jr., Brandon Brown and Khristofer Brown, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his daughter, Blanch Etta Lang [William], Fayetteville, Arkansas; his sisters, Angela Brown, Topeka, Kansas, Sylvia Wilson, Taft, OKlahoma and Teresa Caldwell, Kansas City, Missouri; his brothers, Randy Brown, Taft, Oklahoma, Ron Lowe, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Myron Ford, Kansas City, Missouri and William Ford, Hayti, Missouri; his brothers-in-law, Ray Wilson and Ronald Caldwell; his sisters-in-law, Earline Lowe, Muskogee, Oklahoma and Toni Ford, Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Trevione Brown, Shyanne Brown, Kha'rmauri Brown, Staisha Lang, Joziah Lang and Jentzen Lang; his great-grandchild, Nahla Lang; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The final hour with Harold will commence on Saturday morning, February 17, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the most holy sanctuary of The Antioch Church, 500 West Broadway in Muskogee. Dr. Marlon J. Coleman is the gracious host Pastor and Pastor Terry Garrett, Pastor of No Walls Community Church will Officiate. Burial will follow in the Taft Cemetery.
