Obituary

As we reflect on the good times.....

On the Southside of Muskogee, better known to some as Coody Creek a bright, red-skinned son was born to Raymond Leon Cotton and Lee Ester (Green) Cotton on May 11, 1962. They named him Harold Timothy Cotton. He was known to most people as "Redd" or "Tiny", but he loved to tell people that his name is Harold, as he was proud of that name.

Harold was a resident of Muskogee County. The way he died is just how he lived; he loved to laugh, have fun, and enjoy time with his friends and family. He really did things his own way. No matter what, he always ended up talking about how good God is. Like his father, he had a rare combination of someone who had a love for life, yet a firm understanding of what was important. He loved to sing his favorite songs, "A Change is going to come" – Sam Cooke and "Open my Heart" – Yolanda Adams

He was fashionable in his own sense, always dressing as fly and as clean as he could. He would dress to impress any and every time he would step out. To know Redd was to love him and everyone who knew him knew he loved to cook up the most delicious meals. To his children and those closest to him, he was one that always kept things real. He was never one to pull any punches and always told the truth; No matter how hard the question or how difficult the truth was. It was one of the things that was respected by many when it came to our dad.

On Thursday morning at 12:25 am on February 9, 2023, Harold Timothy Cotton received his wings. He was a man that loved the Lord and had a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Harold was a member of Rayfield Baptist Church, pastored by Pastor Leroy Walker Sr., who covered him in prayer.

Our beloved Harold T. Cotton leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Karis L. Jackson, Sr., Vivian L. (Jackson) Page, Jeremiah Morrison, and Mya Cotton; His grandchildren Karis L. Jackson, Jr., Jaden A. Jackson, Keyara L. Page, Shakena L. Page, Ricky N. Page, Jr., Jermauri D. Morrison, Summer J. R. Newman, Harmony L. Morrison; his siblings , Lesley Craig, Raymond L. Cotton, Jr. LaRhonda Knapper, and Renee (Cotton) Hall; Great-Grandchildren Karis L. J. Jackson, III and Vivian L. Page; with a procession of nieces, nephews, other relatives and oh so many friends.
