"Reflections of Harold……"
On April 28, 1947, the first born son came into the world to John and Maurine Motte. They named their son Harold.
Harold was of the Catholic Faith. At a later time Harold united with the Eastside Baptist Church, Haskell, Oklahoma.
Harold attended and graduated from the Dunbar High School in 1965. Upon graduation, Harold joined the United States Air Force, serving honorably in Vietnam from 1965-1967. He became a member of the United States Army Reserve as Drill Sergeant from 1985-1987.
Harold retired from the Oklahoma State University of Technology after thirty-three (33) years of service.
Some of Harold's favorite hobbies were reading, gardening and watching the nature channels and all military shows but most of all he loved quoting God's word to all who would listen. Harold also enjoyed helping other people at no charge whatever needed to be done he lent a helping hand. He was a member of the Black Dice Motorcycle Club.
In 1967 Harold married Emile Dean and to this union two children were born.
During Harold's later years he met and married Deborah Sherman in 1993 and acquired two loving daughters.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents John and Maurine Motte and a brother Gerald Motte.
Harold leaves to cherish his memory: his loving devoted wife Deborah (of the home) son Harold Vincent Jr. (Christy) of Wichita, Kansas, daughter D'Anita Motte Mills, Wichita, Kansas, Vinnie Motte, Wichita, Kansas. Also Marie (Jay) Smith and Laura Sherman of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Two brothers John Jr. (Glenda), Ronnie (Francine) all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. One sister, Stephanie (Tony) Mims of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Harold's father-in-law, Mr. Robert Sherman of Haskell, Oklahoma; two sister-in-law's Diann Sherman of Haskell, Oklahoma and LaNeta Sherman of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Brother-in-law William Sherman. Two special aunts; Mildred Dalcour and Cleo Gouthier of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, along with a host of relatives and friends.
