Obituary

On August 1, 1947, Hattie Mae Jones was born in Idabel, Oklahoma, the daughter of Shedrick and Maggie Jones, Sr. Hattie grew up in the Oak Grove Community, where she attended Booker T. Washington High School.

In 1963, she united in Holy matrimony to her childhood sweetheart, Roy C. Robinson. She helped provide for her family through her labor as a secretary for Idabel Housing Authority, as well as a Teachers Assistant for Idabel Head Start before becoming disabled.

Mrs. Robinson moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma in 2001, where she spent the remainder of her life. On Thursday morning, February 15, 2007, the Angel of Death sealed her lips, calling her to eternal rest. Preceding her in death is a son, Marcus Dewayne Robinson, her parents, Shedrick and Maggie Jones, Sr., three sisters, Evelyn, Ruthie and Velma, four brothes, Curtis, Johnny, Shedrick and Richard.

Those that wait on the Lord; a son, Roy Fernell Robinson, Idabel, Oklahoma; a daughter, Tonya Robinson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a daughter-in-law, Lisa [Hankins] Robinson; four grandchildren, Chantel, Guthrie, Oklahoma, Brittany, Dallas, Texas, Jalesa, DeQueen, Arkansas and Marisa, Idabel, Oklahoma; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Eugene [Lola] Harrell, Dallas, Texas, Willard [Mary] Jones, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Earl [Sharon] Jones, Wichita, Kasas, Robert [Harriet] Jones, Ardmore, Oklahoma and Frankie Jones, Idabel, Oklahoma; two sisters, Ethel Webster, Fresno, California an dErma Jean Frazier, Broken Bow, Oklahoma; an aunt, Fannie Daniels, Fresno, California; along iwth a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The final tribute will be on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 12:00 NOON in the Church of Christ, Highway 259 Bypass, Idabel, Oklahoma. Brother Jim Mashburn is the gracious host Pastor and Reverend Earl Jones, the Presidiant. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

You may visit Mrs. Robinson on Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM at the funeral home in Muskogee and on Saturday, from 10 AM to 11:45, in Idabel at the Church.
