It all began on May 28, 1962 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, when Roosevelt L. and Doris J. Davis were blessed with a son. This son, the fifth of seven children from this loving union was given the name Henry Louis Davis.
Lovingly called "Louis," he received his formal education in the Muskogee Public Schools. While in school, Louis excelled in athletics, particularly football and track & field, where he received many trophies and ribbons from competitive events. In football, he played Quarterback.
Louis accepted Christ into his life at an early age, uniting with the Sanders Chapel Baptist Church. Later in life, he met and married Karen Grayson. Their union produced four children. This marriage was later dissolved. Mr. Davis moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he worked as an automobile mechanic and a welder. He was a loving person and had many friends.
His time with us on earth came to a close on Sunday morning, August 19, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Vernon Lee, Robert Lee, Michael Lee and his grandmother, Della Mae Winston.
Loving memories will be cherished by his loving family; his parents, Roosevelt L. and Doris J. Davis, Muskogee, Oklahoma; his children, Neisha Marie, Oakland, California, Lakiesha, Louis Jr., and Antoine, all of San Jose, California, Terrell and Keion and their mother, Jessica Hartfield, Arlington, Texas; his brothers, Roosevelt[Annessia] Davis, Jr., and Kenneth Lee [Mary] Davis; his sister, Rose Marie Davis, Central ISlip, New York; two uncles, Robert [Mirtha D.] Johnson and Robert [Emma] Armstrong; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
