Obituary

Mr. Henry James Hall, a resident of Tulsa, formerly of Muskogee, Oklahoma, left this life on Saturday night, October 3, 2009 from his home in Tulsa.

Henry was born from the loving union of Henry Hall and Rosie Mae [Crawford] in Shreveport, Louisiana on August 27, 1944. It is our belief that his parents greeted him at the gates of Heaven. He was the 3rd of 7 children from this couple.

Henry accepted Christ at a young age and attended First Baptist Church in Summit. His formative years began in Oktaha, where he attended Mondays Chapel, a one room schoolhouse. He attended elementary school at Dubois in Summit, where he was advanced from 4th to 6th grade because of his intelligence.

After finishing his education at Manual Training High School in Muskogee, he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force, where he was a Sgt. E-4 at the Travis Air Force base in Fairfield California. He received an Honorable discharge on July 14, 1969.

Shortly after, in 1970, he began his career in helping wayward juveniles and offenders at the Oklahoma Children's Center. After leaving that job in 1984, he wored for Eddie Warrior Detention Facility, and the Lloyd E. Rader Center. Although Henry loved working for the different correctional facilities, he finally retired from the City of Muskogee.

Henry continued his life in Muskogee, where he met and married Charles Ann [Holley] in July of 1970. To this union, two children were born, KaRun and LaKeisha. This union dissolved. In June of 1987, Henry married Linda Kay Hardeman. To this union, two more children were born, Bryson and Henry Jr. This union was also later dissolved.

There was never a dul moment with him; he always had a riddle, an outlook on life, history lesson, a remedy for something or just a fishing lesson. Just know you would get one if not all when talking with him. He had a passion for fishing and barbequing or just cooking any animal he or you could catch. He will be greatly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his sisters, Annie Taylor, Tulsa, Dorothy & John Jackson, Sand Springs, OK and Anzetta Mackey, Tulsa; his brothers, Roosevelt & Vernice Frazier, Muskogee, Freddie & Denis Hill and Roy Lee & Faye Hall, all of Tulsa; four children, Karun Hall, LaKeisha Hall & T.J. Walker, Bryson Hall and Henry Hall, Jr.; 5 grandchildren as well as a host of loved ones and friends.

The service of memory for Mr. Hall will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the St. Mark Baptist Church. Rev. Ray Pickett, the gracious host Pastor and Rev. James Brewer, Sr., Pastor of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Tulsa, Officiating.

Cremation will follow the services and his cremains will be placed in the National Cemetery at Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 1:00 P.M.
