Obituary
Mr. Herbert Edward Johnson, after 68 years, left this life on Saturday, February 9, 2008 from his home in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Mr. Johnson was born in Okmulgee on March 11, 1939, the son of Alonzo and Helen [Jefferson] Johnson.
He attended school in Okmulgee, graduating from Historic Dunbar High School with the Class of 1957, where he played football.
Mr. Johnson served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
After his military experience, he lived in San Diego, California, where he worked in the Ship Yard as a Steel Worker. He returned to Okmulgee to live in 2003 and attended the True Vine Ministries.
Mr. Johnson's cremains will be placed in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson and there will be no public services.
