On April 27, 1938, a beautiful baby boy was born to Velma and George Robinson in Red Bird, Oklahoma. They named him Herbert Lee Robinson. He was the fourth oldest of fourteen children. Herbert was well loved by all who knew him. He attended Miller Washington High School in Red Bird, Oklahoma. Herbert gave his life to Christ at an early age, joining the First Baptist Church of Red Bird where he attended regularly. In 1963, he was introduced to a young woman named Rebecca Kimble. He later asked for her hand in marriage in 1965. To this loving union, five children were born: Herbert Lee Robinson, Jr., Rhoda Faye Robinson, Clifton Lamar Robinson, Shalove Robinson, Brandon Joel Robinson. Their marriage would remain for 48 years. Later in 1967, he became a Deacon under the leadership of Rev. Barber. In 1986, the family joined Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he was an active Deacon until his passing, even attending Sunday School every Sunday.

Herbert leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Rebecca Robinson, children: Herbert Lee Robinson, Jr., Porter, OK., Rhoda Faye Robinson, Tulsa, OK., Clifton Lamar Robinson, Tulsa, OK., Shalove Laynett Robinson, Tulsa, OK., Brandon Joel Robinson, Tulsa, OK., one brother, Tony Robinson (Jenetta), Coweta, OK., six sisters: Doretha Sharp (Leon), Muskogee, OK., Essie Robinson, Tulsa, OK., Sue Ledbetter, Texas, Ophelia Jackson (Frank), California, Gloria Clayton, Wichita, KS., Tamara Bowens, Tulsa, OK., special friend, W.C. Walker, Porter, OK., 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be Monday September 23, 2013 at 1PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Porter, Oklahoma.

Friends may visit Mr. Robinson from 3PM until 5PM in Muskogee on Sunday.
