Mr. Huey Lynn, Sr., after 79 years with us, passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, September 1, 2025 from his home west of Taft, Oklahoma. He leaves behind a legacy defined by compassion, strength, and a deep love for family and community.

Huey was the beloved son of Jesse Andrew Lynn, a dedicated machine operator who tragically passed at the young age of 31 due to an industrial accident, and Julia Lynn, born October 23, 1924, who nurtured and guided Huey with resilience and love.

He was a devoted father to Huey Jr., Trina Jones, and Tyrone Lynn, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather whose joy for life was most evident in the time he spent with his family. His presence was a constant source of support and encouragement across generations.

Known for his youthful spirit and easy connection with others, Huey was especially loved by young people. He served as a mentor to many, particularly troubled youth, offering wisdom, patience, and a listening ear. His ability to inspire and uplift others made a lasting impact in his community.

Huey found joy in simple pleasures—he had a deep love for horses, a passion for hunting, and an enduring appreciation for music. Whether sharing stories, playing his favorite tunes, or riding through the countryside, he embraced life fully and left an impression on all who knew him.

Huey Lynn will be remembered for his warmth, his integrity, and his unwavering dedication to helping others. His legacy of love, mentorship, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him.

A graveside Ceremony will be shared on Saturday September 13th, 2025 in the Second Hour of the Afternoon at Green Acres Cemetery in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Family and friends are invited to come together in remembrance and honor of Huey's life and the many lives he touched.
