On November 18, 1937, a beautiful baby girl was born to Walter Sr. and Cammie Bryant. She was the 7th child, and this blessing was given the name Imogene.
Imogene spent her first years at Douglas Elementary and graduated from Manual Training High School.
Imogene was very much loved by her family and the uncountable number of friends she gained along the way. She never met a stranger, and didn't know how to turn anyone away. She touched many lives during her time here. Anyone that met her came to know her as "Momma" and knew that she loved watching her soaps and working her puzzle books.
She battled her illness gracefully, surrounded and supported by her devoted family and friends, who willingly cared for her from the beginning to the end. After a long fight, Imogene was visited at her home by the Angel of Rest at 12'oclock noon on Thursday, August 17th.
She will truly be missed, but we all know she has gone Home and is in a much better place.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Walter Sr. and Cammie Bryant, three sisters Naniece, Anna Mae, Lois, and one brother Bennie.
Remaining to wait on the Lord are her three sons, Larry Cotton and Kenneth "Moon" Bryant, both of Muskogee; one daughter, LaShonda Dyer (Earnest III) of Muskogee; one sister, Jewell Brown of Muskogee, and one brother, Walter "Phillip" Bryant Jr. of Otisville, NY; Five grandchildren, Marla "Lanie" Cotton-Johnson (Lonnie) of Marietta, GA, Corey Cotton (Courtnie), Armeshia Cotton (Ronald), Trecol Myers (Priscilla) all of Muskogee, and Sarah Porter of Flint, MI; Eleven great-grandchildren, Leilani Iman, Briontae Shabrail, Torey Latrell, Aureyanna Latrell, Rien "Bubba" Keith, Ariel "Juicy" Latrell, Randy Keith, Ronald "Tre" Keith III, Kia Tashea, Taylor Nicole, and Tea Kena; Three nephews, Gratus Keyes of Muskogee, Canton "Honey" Keyes of Denver, CO, Donald "Big Worm" Jones of Muskogee; one special niece, Bobbie Boyattia of Muskogee; one special nephew, Oscar "Jackson" Richardson (Liza) of Vinita, OK, and one special great nephew Jerome "Bo" Boyattia of Muskogee; a special daughter, Shirley Casey of Muskogee; a special sister, Margaret Hampton of Hercules, CA; and a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
