"Reflections of a Wonderful Life"
On April 4, 1934, in Pine Hollow, Oklahoma, a beautiful baby girl was born to Oscar Lewis and Martha Wright Lewis. Their new addition, Imojean was a vibrant and happy child. Originally Name Irma Lee, she attended the Pine Hollow and Rentiesville Public Schools. After leaving the home, she ventured to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Affectionately referred to as "Aunt Candy" by nieces and nephews, and simply Candy, or Penny, by friends, she worked several jobs before becoming employed by Sam and Pam Marks caring for their home and child until her retirement. She accepted Christ at an early age in Pine Hollow. She met and married a gentleman by the name of Raynond Davis. In her later years, she would become a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health failed. She served with much pride on the usher board and in the culinary department. She loved her church dearly. Her favorite past time was fishing.
In the early hours of December 23, 2010, Imojean Davis finished her course. Her parents, husband, two sisters, and five brothers preceded her in death. Remaining to cherish her memories: one daughter Doris Greene, and grandson Eric Golden, both of Tulsa, OK. who was the loves of her life, two brothers: Archie Lewis, Tulsa, OK., Elijah Lewis, Muskogee, OK., four sisters: Sylvater McMann, Rosie Wright, Tulsa, OK., Lois Clemmons, Amanda Newsome, Muskogee, OK., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Her services will be held on the final day of the year 2010 at 11AM at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10AM to 7PM on Thursday in Tulsa. Her committal will be held on Monday January 3, 2010 at 1PM at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
