On December 16, 1963 a lovely baby girl was born to Virdia Moss and James Moss in Detroit Michigan. They named her Ingria Bernadette Moss. Ingria's family relocated to Muskogee, Oklahoma when she was a child. 

A proud Muskogee Rougher, Ingria attended Muskogee High School, where she played basketball and graduated with the class of 1982. 

Ingria loved working with children, and she obtained her teaching certificate from the University of Oklahoma. She taught two and three-year-olds at the Muskogee Family YMCA. Ingria also worked at Cato fashion, where she was the assistant manager. Ingria was known by family and friends as Mrs. Ingria, Nanu or Gigi. She loved her family and friends dearly, especially her grandchildren. Ingria was a loving soul who always wanted to help others. Her favorite movie was The Ten Commandments, often reciting "so It was written, so it shall be done," from the film.In her spare time you would find her reading the Bible, spending time with her grandkids, writing poetry, or landscaping. 

Ingria was blessed with two children, lyushi MeElwee and Terence Wade McElwee jr.

On February 15, 2026 Ingria B. Moss transitioned to her Heavenly home where she was met by her father James Moss, her mother Virdia Lee Moss, her brother Undra Moss, and her son Terence Wade McElwee Jr.

Ingria leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter lyushi B McElwee; her grandchildren I'Nayshia Griffis, I'Yahna Finch, Jeremiah MeElwee, Dominick Marshall, KeyShaun Sallis, and Zakius; her brother Demetrius Moss, her sister Adrienne Heile, her best friend/sister Vanessa (Kai-Kai) Desmuke-McClure; her nephews Walter Allen |r., Jeffrey Allen, Demetrius Moss, James Lee Moss, and many other family and friends.

Mrs. Ingria will be laid to rest on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the Tenth Hour of the day in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
