On May 21, 1970, a beautiful bundle of joy was born to Oma Jean Phillips and Charles Lowe. They named her Ingrid Lashawn Phillips.
Ingrid spent most of her childhood in San Francisco, California. At the age of 12 years old, she relocated to Oklahoma and attended Taft Moton High School. After her graduation from High School, she attended Langston University and shortly thereafter, she decided to enlist in the United States Army. She served her country honorably until her honorable discharge.
Ingrid began her career helping Veterans where she was an adjudicator for the Department of Veterans Affairs office in Muskogee. She decided to take an early retirement and enjoyed life as she saw fit.
Ms. Ingrid LaShawn Phillips-Snyder, in her 54th year, passed from life to everlasting rest on Friday, February 4, 2025 from her home in Tulsa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Snyder; her Mother and Father, Oma Jean Phillips and Charles Lowe; and her brothers, Mark Phillips and Terry Don Hall.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her brothers, Billy Ray Phillips [Meco], Elsworth Jefferson and Nicholas Don Phillips [Sylvia]; her two sisters, Tiklia Titsworth [Stanley] and Amy Archie [Emmit]; four nephews; nine nieces; and other relatives and friends she loved.
The Service of Memory for Ms. Phillips-Snyder will begin on Friday, February 14, 2025 at High Noon, in the People's Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Muskogee.
Burial will follow Military Honors on the sacred grounds of "Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma at 1:30 PM.
