A Time to Be Born; On September 18, 1929, a precious baby girl arrived in Eufaula, Oklahoma from the loving union of Leo and Jessie Crabtree and was named Irene. She was the 8th of 12 children, consisting of 5 boys and 7 girls.
A Time to build up; Irene's education came from the Eufaula Public School System.
A Time to Sew; At an early age, Irene united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brown's Chapel, Oklahoma, under the late Rev. N. E. Osburn. After moving to Tulsa, she united with Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, under the late Rev. E. E. Holley. After his death, she united with Morning Star Baptist Church, under the late Dr. T. O. Chappelle, Sr. She was faithful in her service to the Lord, until her health failed.
A Time to Embrace; She shared her love for the gift God gave her....love to everyone that knew her.
A Time to Love; Irene exhibited her love by the way she welcomed her Church family. She showed her love for God through worship and by giving her love to family and all she came in contact with.
A Time to Die; After 78 seasons, her time with us came to a close, peacefully from the Grace Living Center in Muskogee.
In God's care; Mrs. Irene Crabtree leaves to cherish her memory; her 2 sons, Donald Jerome Bassett [Deborah], Muskogee, OK and Quentin Crabtree, Tulsa, Oklahoma; 2 brothers, Jesse Crabtree [Jewelyn], Wichita, KS and Lawrence Crabtree, Tulsa, OK; 3 sisters, Ruth Young [Rembert] and Georgia Hayes, Raytown, MO and Nadine Baker, Wichita, KS; 4 granchildren; a special friend, Jan McElroy; along with other relatives and friends.
