It all began in Wynne, Arkansas, when a baby boy was born to the unionof Johnny and Dena [Johnson] Hughes on September 20, 1916. He was named Isaac Prophet Hughes, but was better known as Isaiah.
Mr. Hughes was a family man and worked as a farmer and also in the Construction industry. He will be missed by all who knew him.
After 91 years of life, Isaac P. Hughes left earth for glory from Muskogee Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne B. Hughes, two sons, Archie Lee and Johnny Lee Hughes, two daughters, Ossie B. Redden and Baby Hughes and six grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memory; a daughter, Versie Mae DUnn, Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sons, Marvin and Bernice Hughes, Taft, Oklahoma, Henry and Holley Hughes, Wynne, Arkansas and Willie Hughes, Wynne, Arkansas; a sister, Versie Mae Scoott, Wynne, Arkansas; two brothers, Charlie and Linda Hughes, Wynne, Arkansas and Lewis Hughes, Wynne Arkansas; thirty-two grandchildren; fifty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a caravan of other relatives.
A resident of Taft, Oklahoma, the final tribute will be on Monday, November 12, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Remembrance at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Muskogee. You may visit Mr. Hughes, as he slumbers at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 PM to 3 PM.
